Project Introduction: The Yunyang Jianquan Pumped Storage Hydropower Station project is a key project for the national "14th Five-Year Plan" and a key implementation project in Chongqing's "14th Five-Year Plan". With a total investment of 8.544 billion yuan and a construction period of 6 years and 6 months, the total installed capacity is 1.2 million kW. The project consists of the upper reservoir, lower reservoir, and water conveyance and power generation systems. After completion and commissioning, it will save 256,000 tons of standard coal for power generation annually, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 650,000 tons, and sulfur dioxide emissions by 16,000 tons. It undertakes tasks such as peak load regulation, valley filling, energy storage, and emergency backup for the Chongqing power grid. Additionally, it can provide 1,200 MW of regulating power for the Chongqing power grid and northeastern Chongqing, effectively alleviating the medium and long-term power capacity and peak load regulation capacity gaps in Chongqing and northeastern Chongqing.
